Milestones

  • January 6, 1981. The first Julie’s Bakeshop opens at Wireless, Mandaue City, Cebu.
  • August 1981. Julie’s Bakeshop opens a branch near Aznar Coliseum, Urgello, Cebu City.
  • 1984. Julie’s Bakeshop establishes RJ Commodities, its central warehouse.
  • 1988. Julie’s Bakeshop opens a branch in Iloilo City, the first outside Cebu.
  • June 24, 1998. First full franchise Julie’s Bakeshop branch opens in Camiguin Island.
  • July 2, 1998. Julie’s Bakeshop organizes and registers Julie’s Franchise Corporation (JFC) with the Securities and Exchange Commission to provide Franchise Management Support.
  • June 24, 1999. Julie’s Bakeshop receives a Plaque of Recognition as “Success Story of the Year” from the Cebu Business Month Grand Chamber.
  • October 22, 1999. Julie’s Franchise Corporation receives a Special Citation as Outstanding Countryside Investor from the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
  • June 9, 2000. Julie’s Franchise Corporation receives the Outstanding Small and Medium Scale Entrepreneur Award from the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce.
  • June 22, 2001. Julie’s Franchise Corporation opens a warehouse in Pasig, Metro Manila as logistics support for Luzon franchisees.
  • September 28, 2002. Julie’s Bakeshop garners the “Who’s Who in the Philippines: The Best Bakeshop of the Year” from the National Consumers Excellence Awards.
  • October 4, 2002. Julie’s Franchise Corporation opens a warehouse in Davao to serve franchisees in Mindanao.
  • March 28, 2003. Julie’s Bakeshop launches the Mobile Van to deliver its fresh, hot and tasty breads.
  • July 1, 2003. Julie’s Franchise Corporation merges with RJ Commodities.
  • June 2004. Julie’s Franchise Corporation launches its first TV commercial, “Orchestra.”
